AMRIT GILL, Physiotherapist
Amrit was a client of Ryan's when she was a physiotherapy student. She had never experienced such focussed, directed and clear diagnosis and treatment. He issues got better quickly and she wanted to learn more and join the team. She has trained under Ryan for years where she has gained critical thinking skills, assessment and treatment protocols. She uses the PhysioGURU way - fix people ASAP. Using exercise, education, and manual therapy, she provides practical tools to create long-term solutions and help people return to work, sport, and daily life.Outside the clinic, Amrit is training for the BMO Half Marathon, enjoys hiking and camping, and discovering new coffee spots. She offers services in both English and Punjabi.

RYAN WANAGURU, Physiotherapist & Owner
Ryan Wanaguru graduated from Sydney University in 2008 with a degree in Physiotherapy. Ryan opened PhysioGURU in 2019, a place where people would get the care they came for. He treats clients with respect, fixes their issues and wants them to get on with their lives. He hires staff that share the PhysioGURU way. They are honest, hard working and want to fix peoples issues for good. Ryan was certified to perform dry needling/IMS in 2017. He ran the 2013, 2020, 2021 and 2025 BMO Marathons in Vancouver; cycled solo from London to Paris in 2011 and from Marseille to Milan in 2018; and completed 12 Grouse Grinds in one day in 2023. This year he ran the Knee Knacker Rac. His 2026 goals are to reach 14.1 on the beep test and break the world record for most golf holes played in 12 hours (current record: 242).

MICHAELA STRONG, Registered Massage Therapist
Having a background as a competitive athlete, Michaela has always been interested in recovery and keeping the body in peak condition for performance. Through suffering many rugby induced injuries in her college days, she understands how life altering injuries can be to an active person, and how injuries often stand in the way of us being able to pursue our passions. Michaela's work philosophy is very client focused- her goals are your goals! Whether that be injury recovery, pain relief, or decreasing tension. Outside of work Michaela enjoys bike-packing in the great outdoors and training for triathlons. As an active person Michaela loves the PhysioGURU way - she wants you back doing the activities you love and she is excited to get your body working smoothly

NEILL KLEINVELDT, Registered Massage Therapist
Neill graduated from the Vancouver Career College RMT program in 2022 and is in good standing with the CMTBC. He worked as an RMT in Quebec for over 10 years and is now registered in British Columbia. His approach is client-centered, customizing each treatment to meet the needs and goals of every patient. With his experience and training, Neill recognizes the importance of treating the body as a whole. To achieve optimal results, he uses a variety of techniques including myofascial release, joint mobilization, and deep tissue therapy when appropriate. He also incorporates stretching, patient education, and home programs to help fast-track recovery. Neill enjoys treating active individuals, post-surgical patients, those recovering from injury, or those experiencing pain with daily activities. He has been involved in competitive sport since childhood and currently runs marathons while preparing for his first Ironman competition.

ASHLEY LOUGHEED, Nutritionist
Meet Ashley — a certified nutritionist who’s not about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all plans. She helps clients get to the root cause of their health concerns, ditch the guesswork, and feel their best from the inside out.Born and raised in North Vancouver, Ashley spent a few years playing hockey in New York before happily returning home. Outside of work, she enjoys being in nature, gardening, and lacing up her skates (still playing hockey — averagely but passionately).With a background in mental health and experience as a post-collegiate athlete, Ashley understands how stress, gut health, and nutrition are deeply connected. After navigating her own digestive issues and anxiety, she discovered holistic nutrition and now helps others do the same, combining sustainable habits with functional lab testing. Above all, she wants clients to feel heard, supported, and at home in their bodies again.

MELINDA FREITAS, Counsellor MACP, RCC
I approach both my work and personal life from a holistic, whole-system perspective, recognizing the importance of background, personality, lived experience, interests, strengths, family dynamics, work, and spiritual or existential issues in one’s journey. My therapeutic approach is client-focused and solution-oriented, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Mindfulness-CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused/Brief Therapy. I work with individuals aged 19+ and in allyship with LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC communities, and I’m San’yas ICS trained. I specialize in navigating life transitions (divorce, grief/loss, career or health changes), chronic anxiety/depression, stress management, and relationships. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the city, playing tennis, cycling, practicing yoga, and getting creative in the kitchen through baking and cooking.
