Meet The Team

Owner + Physiotherapist
Ryan Wanaguru graduated from Sydney University in 2008 with a degree in Physiotherapy. From there he worked in hospitals and private practice learning from the best in the business. He moved to Vancouver in 2012 were he has worked at Vancouver General Hospital and in private clinics. Ryan was certified to perform dry needling/IMS in 2017.

Ryan is also a very active person. He ran the 2013 BMO marathon in Vancouver, cycled solo from London to Paris in 2011 and from Marseille to Milan in 2018. He runs, plays golf, tennis and just about any sport. Ryan has been injured many times just like you, so he knows what you're going through and how to get healthy and ready to perform!

Ryan's personal goal this year is to do a 1km open water swim – wish him luck!

Registered Massage Therapist
Varney graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2014 through the 3000 hour program. She has extensive experience helping clients with postural dysfunction, overuse injuries, Pre & Postnatal, musculoskeletal conditions, stress management, chronic pain, TMJ issues (jaw pain/dysfunction), neurological disorders and headaches. Varney has developed a broad and deep understanding of injury prevention & reduction.  Techniques she often uses are:

– Myofascial release
– Swedish massage
– Neuromuscular therapy
– Trigger point therapy

Varney is a lifelong Kitsilano resident who enjoys the west coast lifestyle. On her time off she can be found cruising the beaches of Vancouver on her bike. She is keen to help her clients with their journey to health and takes pride in her profession and her role in her community.

Physiotherapist + Pelvic Floor Specialist
Abra completed a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia along with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. Having been raised in small communities in BC’s interior, Abra has a love for the outdoors and a lifetime commitment to active healthy living.

Abra’s treatment approach includes client-centered care, utilizing hands-on treatment with adjunct exercise prescription and education that is geared towards the client’s goals and interests. Currently, she has additional certifications in soft-tissue release, Pelvic Health and manual therapy for general muscluloskeletal issues

In her spare time, Abra enjoys cycling, hiking, yoga/pilates, swimming and gardening. In the near future she plans to expand her treatment skills by completing therapeutic pilates and dry needling.
